Print media played an important role in enterprise and economic development for years before the advent of the Internet. For example, location profiles printed on paper were essential to the site selection process, also, there were the indispensable contact directories. Magazines having editorial content focused on enterprise development and site selection, and advertising on real estate and economic development, were quick to move online with reprints of articles and special supplements as the Internet began its surge in the mid-1990s. See a list of such publications on page 4 of About Enterprise Development. Note: the Google/.network search engine is readily available for you to query the publications for resources and contacts. At least two of the magazines publish searchable contact directories. The websites of other publications are not accommodating to searches.
