From whom does a site selector gather location data? ... location
data suppliers. What does a location data supplier do? See About Economic Development, Page 4 for a breakdown of various types of contacts as suppliers of information about places of interest to site selectors and enterprise developers. In all categories, contacts can be found to either assemble location packages or put you in touch with someone who can. For example, libraries are listed under regional and local information sources but, as you may expect, they provide only what they have collected without interpretation. (Libraries should) ... have knowledgeable staff available to guide users to appropriate contacts for obtaining additional information as well as assistance to prospects (source of quote). A location
or community profile is a useful publication produced by many

data suppliers, especially, area
and local developers who additionally offer assistance
to prospects. Profiles
are available online or by request. They are typically included in location
packages. Easy to use profiles have information organized
under various universally recognized categories, such as the items

The answer is they turn to resource and service providers, for example, those listed in the GRC directory online. Who is involved in enterprise and economic development? All types of change agents and top decision makers involved in organizing and operating enterprises as well as all types of resource and service providers. Take a look at the definition of the target audience served by The Network for more about who participates in the process. I've reached a dead end while searching. Now what? Send an email telling us (who we are) where you are in The Network ... the URL for our webfile where you've run into the dead end and what you were looking for when you ran into the problem covered by our search promise. Our response will be provided as a free service. Search results produced a file-not-found. Now what? Send an email telling us what keyword combination you searched for. Provide the URL address string for a file-not-found or if you cannot access a file. We (who we are) can neither recreate a file that doesn't exist nor enter one to which access is denied; nevertheless, we address the situation and offer you suggestions or a solution to the problem as a free service. How can I get in touch with someone listed in the Global Registry of Contacts? We (who we are) publish the names of resource suppliers and service providers online from the database. We also publish the identities of their locations and the names of their employers. For additional information, such as contac data, all you need do is make an email request. Suggestion: Copy the three items of information from a GRC listing online (example of a page of listings) and paste it in the memo section of your email. Our response will be to give free personal attention to your email request. You are welcomed to send an anonymous email. Links are added to GRC listings when .network users inquire. Links are also added for those who contribute resources and those who participate in The Network as contacts. In any event the GRC is uniquely unbiased, a point made clear by the search promise of The Network. Suggestion: Take a look at the GRC search results help page for additional information. What does a listing in the enterprise and economic development directory cost? We (who we are) refer to our directory as the GRC database. Listings are provided for free.
