In general a development alliance is an association of interested parties or coalition behind a development effort. The example used on this page is the Development Alliance, a group that came together and created a set of standards for economic development organizations in the United States to refer to when developing promotional location data and information for prospects. The standards are offered as guidelines for locations anywhere seeking economic development and wanting to know what site selection consultants generally want from them.
