value:

... the intrinsic or manipulated power of a property to command worth or exchangeability for its utility, i.e. market value. It's the importance, merit, or worth of a thing in an exchange on the basis of what is mutually accepted as fair, for example, real property value. It is also defined as the capacity of goods and services to command other goods or money in an exchange. Value is the monetary or material manifestation of a quality that renders something desirable or useful.

value chain:

... operational activities within an enterprise visualized linearly and through which the value of what moves along is increased at various stations as productivity units; a model of linked activities that reveals input and output at points of productivity for purposes of analyzing value. Analysis can contribute to improving the bottom line and deciding how to gain competitive advantage.

A value chain breaks down a productivity process activity by activity for analysis. At each activity station ... the product gains some value. The chain of activities gives the products more added value than the sum of added values of all activities (source of quote).

... the quality of value that that gives something usefulness or desirability so that it is acceptable in a transaction of exchange. Adam Smith stated that ... The most common economic known to man is the phenomenon of the transaction of exchange. Worth manifests itself in market value.

The worth of an enterprise (business worth) is total assets minus total liabilities.
