Such a publication typically pictures intersections and distance in between them as well as locations of places, such as cities, airports, and named features of the landscape that can be seen; a stylized layout or reference that is view as if from above having information found in an atlas along with a geography's network of conveyance or transport features and intersections with information, such as distances between selected points; a site selection resource showing a center point of interest and the outflow of routes for ground, water and air transportation along with information about distances and a scale that facilitates measuring from point to point.
