startup: … the point at which all of the pieces are in place for operating or functioning; i.e., it's a time of getting underway as planned. It's the follow through on an undertaking to the point of making it operational as in starting up a business operation after an enterprise development project is successfully completed and ready to make its contribution to economic development, for example, after a ribbon cutting in a community. The startup is something that soon-to-be employees in a job training program look forward to after announcement that their community has been chosen as the location of a site selection project. A startup follows implementation of an entrepreneurial project.
