relocation: ... the act of permanently leaving one place and moving
to another. Relocation as defined here concerns itself with business
operations and enterprise
development.. As an enterprise grows
to the point the it needs to make a move within a local
economy, the
relocation project is generally oriented on real
estate. When a relocation
project is about uprooting an operation or an entire enterprise and moving it
to a place outside the local area, the alert business
decision maker knows to focus on gathering and analyzing location as well as real
estate data. |
relocation services: ... assistance available from various types of resource and service providers. Site location consultants are hired to provide relocation services. They are sometimes referred to as relocation consultants, especially, when their location work transitions to handling or arranging for the actual move of an enterprise operation and/or its employees. Relocation consultants may also specialize in moving people and families only. Chambers of commerce and certain local enterprises, such as banks that stand to benefit by gaining new customers, in a target location may offer relocation services.
