Prospect services is an expression used by economic development practitioners to indicate what they do beyound fulfilling markeing responsibilities for the places they represent. In other words, prospect services are what area and local development representatives are expected to be able to provide to those who, for example, are members the .network core user group when they have active projects. If you see yourself as a member of the group and you have a plan or project, you can use the Global Registry of Contacts to search for resouce and service providers. prospect information: ... useful data, such as a lead or contact data, supplied as a business development resource; that which is passed on within an ally network about the activites of a suspect or lead; something that is known, sought, or passed on about, for example, an enterprise developer or site selector, especially, as it applies to activites that have to do with a business development opportunity or economic development project. Prospect information is most often exchanged among resouce and service providers involved in the enterprise and economic development process during the course of networking, for example, about fast-growing companies. Prospect information is a resouce for .network mission contacts. Such information may be freely exchanged while building and maintaining working relationships. Sometimes tips for prospect development are passed on for a finders fee. We (who we are) support participants in the .network mission by providing resources that stop short of being information about active site selection or economic development prospects.
