production quality:

... the degree or grade of excellence of an item or service at its point of output as a determinant of its worth and, perhaps more importantly, its acceptability when the time comes to pass it into the hands of an end user. In markets of near-perfect competition, the voice of the customer reveals who ultimately judges the quality of what comes out of a production process.

Success of an enterprise operating in a free market economy depends upon anticipation of what level of quality and at what price the customer is willing to accept in conjunction with an ability to produce what is expected. The production worker has a critical role to play in success. Success not is not only a attribute of customer satisfaction but a reflection of work ethic that exists in labor force of a place seeking economic development. Workers wanting to improve their chances of holding on to worthwhile jobs need to think about the voice of the customer, work ethic, and the responsibility they have in contributing to production quality.
