... having functionality and readiness so as to be in effect at a starting pont; the point at which a process or series of actions for achieving a result are dynamic after startup; the continuity of change, activity, or progress of something put to use.

... an operating entity or the group of operational (defined above) units that altogether make up an enterprise. See the definitions of business and industrial operations below.

business operation

... any organized process or series of planned activities, undertakings, dealings in commercial, industrial, or professional environments or situations where trade occurs or where money changes hands. Business operations are the day-to-day managed actions that make an enterprise functional. Business operations may also be defined as the accounting for various separate units of an enterprise that make it functional as a whole (see the definition of operational and the definition of operations above).

industrial operation

... any organized activities, undertakings, dealings in the sector of an economy made up of manufacturing and processing of products for commercial distribution. This definition of industrial operations includes enterprises having to do with the assembly, inventory and distribution of manufactured products or processed materials wherein there is a component of labor, especially in manual labor, other than in transportation, warehousing, manufacturing sales and services or assembly at the retail sector.
