named anchor: ... AKA anchor: a tag or marker on a webpage (HTML document) that connects (links) one bit of information to another. The website www.w3schools.com provides has information about HTML tags, for example, the <a> tag. A marker is typically a linked graphic. A source anchor is created in an HTML document by adding an anchor element with a hypertext reference containing a uniform resource identifier (source of quote).
