Location information suppliers are referred to as data suppliers because datum identifies an item of information that is a fact or statistic and, especially, a useful resource. A location information supplier might also distribute promotional material that qualifies, say, as image advertising. It's the location data supplier, however, that has the attention of, for example, those participating in the mission of The Network as prospects. Site selection prospects need facts and useful information about places of interest in order to successfully accomplish objectives to find optimum locations, e.g. sites that meet a set of selection criteria.
