not for profit enterprise:

... a nonprofit organization (NPO); an organization that provides resources or goods and services without seeking to make or making a profit; Actually, businesses that break even or operate in the red are non-profit enterprises. A nonprofit enterprise, however, is set up legally from the start to operate without distributing any net earnings to an individual or group in position of control such as board members, trustees, or volunteer directors or executives. Generally, not for profit enterprises may reimburse volunteers for certain expenses. including pay for services rendered and goods provided. Also, they may pay employees (staff).
