end user: ... one who buys and consumes or otherwise effects a change in a product at the final stage of an economic process. Consumption as an economic term refers to goods and services being used up by consumers. Goods consumption involves purchasing and using directly or using in the production of other goods. Consumers are generally seen as ultimate users at the end of a product distribution manufacturing and distribution system. See supply chain. Consumers are end users of services which are totally used up on the spot. Either way, they are typically at the end of one or more supplier transactions. People who visit .network websites may find information worth passing on to others. They become users as they gather what they find. Those to whom they pass the information may actually be the ones to put it to use. For example, a site selection consultant working for a client may use the Global Registry of Contacts to gather information about about places of interest as well as resource and service providers. The information later goes to the client business decision maker who is the end user in control of an enterprise development project which will ultimately lead to economic development of the selected location. related: .network core users; .network mission participants; .network contacts FYI: definition of what is |
