cyber:

. . . a computer-related prefix stemming from cybernetics, here referring to non-biological electronics and mechanics as replacements for human control. Wikipedia has a cybernetics article.

The definition of cyberspace . . . has become a conventional means to describe anything associated with the Internet and the diverse Internet culture (source of quote).

Searching online means being involved in cyber retrieval of information. A plethora of interesting and useful information is available online but lurking in its shadows are cyber-terrorists and cyberthugs, so much so that today the business world is forced to give serious attention to protection against cybercrime. A cyber-recovery strategy should be a part of risk management for any enterprise vulnerable to cyber attack.
