The following location and contact information shows what is initially published online from the GRC database. Information items shown in the three columns are examples from a document of the GRC. Select one of the links in the location column to view the whole document.

The information in the three columns is most important for facilitating fast and efficient searches. When you search and find a contact or location of interest, your next step is to access the GRC document online. There you will see location identity arranged in alphabetical order. You should page-search for exactly the same thing that you searched for originally.
When you find what you are looking by searching or scrolling a page you may see links. They are are there because the .network user contacts made the request (they pay a small annual fee for upkeep.) Links are continuously being created because users want information, such as contact data, and we (who we are) accommodate their requests without cost or obligation.
We provide links to additional information from the GRC database as follows:
• link: location listing to online documents where profiles are freely available.
 |
• link: people listings to online documents where contact data is freely available.
 |
• link: contact organization listings to online their websites.
 |

Links are suppose to be temporary. However, we often leave them in place for extended periods so that user contacts can see how the GRC works to support the .network mission.
It's not unusual for links left online for a while to become broken. This is especially true for links in contact directories maintained as resources for enterprise and economic development. People working within the two processes seem to be always on the move. This is no problem for .network uses of the GRC, however. All they need do is to let us know that they've run into a dead end and we will address the situation or, at least, provide an explanation.

Notice that the following GRC search tool has pull-down menus. One is set to search as a phrase, another case-sensitive. You can search for names of contacts and their enterprises with relatively more efficiency by typing in one or two words as a phrase using capital letter where you know they exist, but don't set the phrase with quotation marks or parenthesis—just type the words. For an example of such names, page up to information about making an initial search.
To search for a location, again use capital letters where appropriate, for example, Atlanta, GA. See the definition of location identity for more information. Also, you can CLICK HERE for an example of a GRC document to see that location identities are organized in alphabetical order.
You can change the search parameters. For more about tips for using the tool, CLICK HERE.
A GRC Database Record
How it is it created.
How it is it maintained
A record holds all of the information about one .network mission contact. Think of it as you would a business card, i.e., as a reference to information about a person with whom you might want to consider building or maintaining a working relationship. Organize a group of business cards, for example using a Rolodex, and you have something comparable to the GRC database.
Databases.About.com has a more generic definition of a record.
Members of the .network core user group are interested in the contents of GRC records.
A GRC record is created in one of two ways: A record is created when a .network user contact is interested enough in the mission to take the initiative and register with the database. Anyone, anywhere, who qualifies as a .network mission contact by definition of the term is offered the opportunity to register for free. Once created, the database record is maintained without cost or obligation of anyone but ourselves (who we are). That means contacts can monitor their records and up-date them for free as needed. They also, have the opportunity to enhance the posting of information from the database online by creating certain types of links and, thus, making the GRC more convenient for .network users. Enhancing online information with links makes the statement that a contact is interested in building working relationships with users.
The second way a record is created is by an initiative we (who we are) to provide something of value to the .network core user group. All .network user can freely search GRC documents online and (1) if they do not readily find contacts that they think should be listed, or (2) if they do find contacts of interest but without links, for example to contact data, they can send a priority email (anonymously) to request our free personal assistance. We answer their request by searching and finding what information we can and creating or updating appropriate records. We temporarily post links and/or email information in reply to our users. For a bit more information about our service process, see our privacy policy and disclaimer.

Overview of services/fees for posting links and information online for contacts:
The layout below show three columns of information published online initially from the GRC database without links. Lists for entries in each column cost $12.00 annually (U.S. Dollars). Descriptions of the types of links available are shown below the layout. After review of the descriptions, select the apply button if you have questions or want to request to join the links program.
location identity |
(1) name of contact |
(2) name of employer / (3) service identity |
• location identity: link to location profile online or location data supplier contact data
• contact (1): link to a webpage with information for getting in touch with the contact
• contact (2): link to a website or document online of employer's choice
• service (3): link to an elaboration on a word or two about services provided
Note: With all four links initiated, the annual fee would be $48.00. Yes, users can anonymously request that the links be temporarily installed and we will provide them for free. We respectfully request that resource and service providers not make this request for their own listings.
